So this is where shows like this can start to lose me a bit.

Setting aside Sheridan having to interject himself as the super badass sniper, it just really starts to pressure test my ability to suspend disbelief when you don’t have most of their team getting completely wiped out in that firefight almost immediately. Especially the black guy who was fully exposed on top of the tank for a solid 10 minutes with dozens of guys firing shots at him.

I know a few returned with gunshot wounds and I haven’t started the 3rd season yet, so maybe they did off one or two of them. But that all felt like it was done in service of making a cool battle scene as opposed to anything that makes for a compelling story. The whole storyline of that 2nd season never really connected for me but I suppose it might have been meant to be less important than showing how all of it was impacting Saldana’s character from a personal standpoint.

Enjoying the buddy cop detective mystery angle, with just the right amount of comic book lore mixed in for fanboys.

First few episodes are just littered with asses everywhere. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, particularly as it relates to Zoe Saldana.

But his shows are amazing.
