What two things do Tony Gwynn, Willie Stargell, and Dennis Eckersley have in common?

1) there are probably others who share both traits, but I was unable to verify

2) neither trait has anything to do with anyone's kitchen

Random googling of names got me a hit on my fourth try:

Joe Morgan hit his first career regular-season MLB home run on May 8, 1965, while playing for the Houston Astros against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. He hit the 6th-inning solo shot off pitcher Lindy McDaniel, helping Houston secure an 11–6 victory.

Three misses were Johnny Bench, Mike Schmidt, and Gary Carter.

I remember ESPN used to play episodes of Home Run Derby from the '50s

they used the LA Wrigley for that. Dick Stuart was a repeat competitor, and the announcer always pronounced his name "Dick Stir-it"
