Suppose you have a contained volume of pressurized air that has a radioactive gas in it, and you want to know the maximum rate you can vent the radioactive gas without exceeding radiation limits. You can apply a modified version of Pv=NRT, apportioning portions to each gas, to calculate such volumetric flow rate.
