I just realized today that as of last July I've lived in the Bay Area as long...

...as I've lived anywhere.

So:

- 18 years in Gibson City
- 6 years in Champaign Urbana
- 6 years in Chicago
- 18 years in the Bay (17 San Francisco / 1 Marin)

Kinda an odd feeling as I think of myself as "midwestern" even though I'll soon have spent more time on the West coast as anywhere else singular. I guess I have another 12 years or so to beat out the entire midwestern total.

I had lived in Pittsburgh longer than anywhere but Atlanta took over two years ago.

But Pittsburgh is still the place I lived longest over one span.

How’s your accent? Do you say pop instead of soda?*

Seems like you had already been there a while when you gave Mrs. Tort and me an Anchor tour, and that was a long time ago.

Time is weird. I feel like I lived in Chicagoland forever, especially the Deeg, but it was only 18/10 years, respectively. I moved to the DC area 32 years ago and have been in my current house for 15. That seems unpossible.

I’m sort of right on your coattails

18 Chicago
4 Champaign
9 Chicago
9 Raleigh
4 Philadelphia
17 Raleigh

So Chicago a total of 27, Raleigh a total of 26 with 8 split between Champaign and Philadelphia
