Brazilian consumers don't feel rise in prices all that much because coffee is not an imported item. The imported products are sky high; read; pesticides, fertilizers, etc.
Moreover, Coffee is central to Brazilian life. Likely the USDA harvests its cons #'s from the domestic trade association ABIC.
