"So does everybody else who believes in the genocide.".... What about those who have an open mind to the subject, or is it only those who believe who are allowed to look at the evidence? A bit of a giveaway of an automatic presumption and ingrained prejudice I think....
There is in fact extremely little evidence of any repression of the Uighers, still less of "mass" repressions, absolutely none of "genocide".
If (say) hundreds of thousands of Uighers were being repressed, I would expect there to be considerably large volumes of evidence to support that, over and above sources which are in fact in low single figures.
Hopefully, you are not one of those who just assumes that just because someone says thousands are being repressed it must surely be true as otherwise why would anyone say that? Or perhaps you are....
There are vast volumes of evidence showing the vast, vast majority of Uighers are thriving, hard working and content, with the language being openly spoken and Uigher culture not only on display but actively promoted and celebrated.
There has been an Islamic terrorism problem embedded in very small pockets of Uigher communities and yes the Chinese state has taken robust and firm action to contain and address it. But the worst anyone seriously accuses the Chinese state is of forced re-education camps. Certainly not "repression" in the sense people generally understand the word.
So if you want a "simple" answer, it is "no".
