...and the magical thinking which is gender identity ideology is one of them. The CPGB(ML)'s line on this has an interesting genealogy in radical feminism. One of that party's most unorthodox leading members, Deborah Lavin, had a lesbian radical feminist daughter, Magdalen Berns, who was an outspoken - and very witty - critic of gender identity ideology. Sadly, both Magdalen and Deborah died within the past two years. Magdalen's YouTube videos are still available to watch. The CPGB(ML)'s obituary of Deborah hints at the origins of the party's standpoint on the question, although the party line lacks the theoretical rigour of Magdalen Berns' perspective:
