Sad but true. I always thought Putin was cautious and calculating. It's impossible to envisage any good outcome from this. It was faintly encouraging that at least two Duma deputies from the KPRF found the principles and courage to speak out against Putin's invasion. Has the KPRF found its Karl Liebknecht? Not before time, if so. Far too many people who self-identify as "communists" will slobber over any jackboot, so long as it's an anti-American jackboot.
