Earlier this year this tiara was put up for sale at Sotheby's Geneva, before it was ultimately withdrawn.

The lot note read: 'Impressive diamond tiara', which pretty much says it all.

It is a beautiful tiara, substantial yet supremely elegant, with historic provenance... the kind of grand, old jewel I like most.
