It is indeed the same brooch !
I would like to see QEII wearing this ruby and diamond brooch ! This brooch must cost a lot of money : rubies are so rare !

Today I found another photo of HM wearing the same hat with the brooch -- also 1961. But it really does not give us a much better view of the brooch. Oh for a modern photo!!
