I have previously identified that Queen Alexandra wore the sapphire elements in a tiara.
And we know that the necklace eventually came into the possession of Princess Maud of Fife, Countess of Southesk when it was auctioned with other items from her estate. To date no photo of Queen Alexandra wearing the jewel as a necklace has been found, and for some unknown reason I had always assumed that this jewel was a dog collar, but the photo below shows the necklace was designed to sit under the Queen's diamond or pearl dog collars.
