Thank you so much for your lovely welcome. I realised when I was looking for the e-mail with my login that I'd forgotten to reply and thank you for your equally lovely email so I'll thank you for that too here as well.
The facts in the auction catalogue doesn't specify what part of the brooch is en tremblant, but doesn't the flower itself look like it could be that one?
The eminent expert on Swedish Royal jewels, Claes Mattsson, quotes the inventory of Ebba Bernadotte's estate in a post on Facebook:"Brooch flower (dog rose) gold and silver, brilliant, with a loop (to carry as a pendant)"
Yes, the 9 ct is for the whole brooch not for each individual stone (that would've been a whopper) Previous Message
Welcome to the board JR76! What a delightful jewel you have introduced us to! It is totally new to me. Is anyone else familiar with this brooch?
I have been trying to imagine which part of the jewel is en tremblant. Is it the central element?
If so, I wonder if it moves like the central element in the brooch seen in this video?
One little query -- are the diamonds 9cts in total or is the central diamond a 9ct stone?
Again a very warm welcome!
