Yes Andrew U. We shouldn't really be comparing stuff regarding jewellery if we have no clue about the stone quality as everything will be guess work. What we can go on are reports such as the ones spoken of on QE 2's Cullinan brooch and the present day market prices these stones may favour at auction, this is why I contend that in the appropriate setting the Delhi Dubar may very well come out on top in the all diamond stakes. If we only knew the stone quality of the individual diamond collet necklaces we could debate more, because I have also read that the DoCorn had worn a collet necklace at her birthday party which was estimated in excess of some six million pounds because of its quality and the stones being of large size and of old cut form which are very rear to come by. This particular diamond necklace was reported to have been shorten and was the personal property of the late QEQM and had come to her via I think the said Madame Greville. And you know the other expensive tiaras or coronet would have to be QA diamond tiara the one that holds the type 2 a colourless 105.6 carat Koh-i-Noor diamond. This diamond has been described as being priceless and the Indian Government is purportedly trying to recoup this diamond, so something as reported as priceless would make an all diamond tiara the most valuable, the other coronet that comes to mind is the George IV crown. But lets hear some more views.
Regards,
Dave.

What about the Dutch Sapphire Tiara and what was mentioned before has to be in the top.... the Spanish Long Collet Diamond necklace. I also remember reading like 20 years back that Queen Victoria of Spain's emerald necklace hod the best stone of any emerald necklace.
you all have made me think about things differently. I totally forgot just how high quality stone were used on QEII ruby tiara.

In the diamond tiara category I think that the Dutch tiara with the Stuart diamond would be the most valuable.
