I wonder if the number of drops was a co-incidence or if the Queen and Duke (or whoever gave Princess Anne this necklace) commissioned it for HRH's 21st birthday?

I think that the necklace we are currently discussing is a modern piece and is unlikely to have come from Princess Alice. But, I know very little about jewellery styles and may be very much mistaken!
