Previous Message Agnes wrote a number of books...in later life circumstances forced her to sell all her jewels. Dave. I read those books a while ago now. I do recall her talking about the expenses of Russian court life in regards to dresses etc for herself and her daughter Zoia. Agnes, Baroness de Stoeckl, was married to Baron Alexander de Stoeckl, Court Chamberlain to the Grand Duchess Maria Georgievna of Russia The V&A has at least 2 different images of her in court dress along with Grand Duchess Maria. these were the titles of her memoirs: 1. Not All Vanity - Agnes de Stoeckl 2. My dear Marquis - Agnes de Stoeckl This photo was taken at Edward VII coronation.
