I read those books a while ago now. I do recall her talking about the expenses of Russian court life in regards to dresses etc for herself and her daughter Zoia. Agnes, Baroness de Stoeckl, was married to Baron Alexander de Stoeckl, Court Chamberlain to the Grand Duchess Maria Georgievna of Russia
The V&A has at least 2 different images of her in court dress along with Grand Duchess Maria.

Very interesting, thank you Kat Max and Ashdean. I'll have to do some reading! The Baroness, whom I think was originally Irish, appears to have had a very interesting life.
