thank you for your post.
I think that this necklace was redesigned by Queen Mary.
I also think that Princess Anne does not have many important and valuable jewels from the royal collection.
Last but not least, the massive geometric tiara was inherited by QEII (written in the QD all the jewels from QEQM were inherited by QEII). This tiara was only on loan from QEII.
Very best regards,

Thanks Franck for returning this notation to the board. If indeed the necklace is from the collection of QM it signifies that the PR has some of the most important and valuable jewels in her collection which may have been redesigned for her taste and the modern times. I wonder if the bulk of her collection will return to the mainstream royal line on her passing or auctioned as was the case with the last two Princess Royals? Jewels such as the late Queen Mother's aquamarine tiara, the massive geometric shaped one from the legacy of Margaret Greville, and Prince Phillip's mother's tiara as well as the said necklace in the above captioned topic or the lattice diamond necklace spoken of previously.
Regards,
Dave.

Dear all,
As it was noticed by Dave, I also think that the diamond tassel necklace worn by Princess Anne and given as a gift by her parents may be from The Ranee of Gondal and also from the unknown diamond necklace worn by Queen Mary in 1910. See the tassel - the central motif has a pear-shaped diamond pendant

What do you think ?
