Thanks Janet, an interesting read. I wonder if any of the emeralds came from the Queen Isabella ii, seeing that her emeralds were outstandingly huge.

A really great article about Empress Eugenie's emerald cross which she gifted to Queen Victoria and was eventually inherited by her granddaughter Queen Ena.
I had no idea that this wonderful piece was owned by Queen Victoria or Princess Beatrice.
