I had no idea that this wonderful piece was owned by Queen Victoria or Princess Beatrice.

Vincent Meylan's research, as published in Christie's. The Jewellery archives revealed, shows that the emeralds in Queen Ena's necklace were left to her by Empress Eugenie after the latter's death and were not a wedding present. Vincent Meylan convincingly debunks the claim that those emeralds came from the Empress' emerald tiara.

The pictures I have seen with Queen Isabella in jewels indicates that it is a great possibility of my assertion. I wanted to leave a comment on this post after I saw the amazing response on my blog stats. I was stuck in a rut and I had a bit of writers block but when I checked my stats and saw how many people had seen my blog due to your message board I was thrilled!
