After a few years gap, there was quite a lot of glitter at today's State Opening of Parliament, HERE , though for the first time since 1952 , the Queen choose to wear the George IV State Diadem for the entire ceremony, rather than just the arrival and departure.
The Queen was also wearing Queen Mary's Cluster Earrings and the Coronation Necklace .
The Duchess of Cornwall wore the Greville Tiara and The Duchess of Cornwall wore the Greville Tiara and her 4-strand Pearl Choker with Queen Alexandra’s Antique Diamond Clasp , with her everyday earrings.
There were quite a few Peeresses in Tiaras, and Princess Antonia, Duchess of Wellington (wearing the Wellington Tiara ) and Lady Susan Hussey (wearing the Waldegrave Tiara ) are among the few I've been able to identify through their jewels! The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Earl and Countess of Ulster, and the Marchioness of Cholmondeley were also present, though they did not participate, so were not in 'full dress'.
