Am always fascinated with QM's jewels. It is reported that she is the grandest queen in history where jewels are concerned and may have been responsible for most of the British royal family's jewel collection being the way it is today. Although I do feel their is still much that we do not know about.

Queen Mary's diamond stomacher is rarely worn by QEII, although during the Commonwealth tour of 1953-4 it was seen on a number of evening occasions; however, unlike 2002 when QEII wore the entire jewel, in the early years she seems to have used only the lower section.

Can we add any more occasions when HM wore the lower part of the stomacher?
