What an intriguing find Franck!
After I looked at Queen Alexandra's hair pins from various angles (and magnified the photo) I think that you are correct and that the lower hair pin is a match for the brooch worn by the Duchess. What a shame that the lower section of the hair pin is obscured by the Queen's hair! If only we could see that!
