Did Mary wear Alexandra's nine strand pearl choker? Is this choker still with the main line of the BRF?
The Mary Evans Picture Library has an image of this watercolour in its digital archive. It's indeed described as »Alexandra Queen to Edward VII Illustration of 1902«. (Picture No 10017345)
The source of this image is the annual frontispiece of the British magazine »The Girl's Own Paper« 1902-03. I doubt that the caption »H.R.H. The Princess of Wales« would have been used for publication after 1901 if the imagine indeed depicted Alexandra.
I think Eiriksn's assumption is correct, and the watercolour depicts the then Princess of Wales, Mary, with her »Some ladies of England«-tiara.
