I've always wondered about this tiara. Most people think it cam from Maria Feodorovna but I can't see her owning something that small.
I know she left Russia with her 'everyday jewels' but they were things like hair pins and brooches.
I've always had a theory that this came from Princess Nicholas.

I know Philip Lazlo was an excellent artist but I wonder if he took artistic license with the shape of the tiara for symmetrical purposes.
