Hi all
Hope we are all keeping safe and well.
I thought it would be fun to find out what everyone's favourite lost jewels were, jewellery that has been lost or broken up or that we don't see much of anymore.
Mine would be anything before the English Civil War. I read all the time about the jewels of Henry Viii and Elizabeth i. One piece that has survived is the crown of Blanche of Lancaster, which is now in Bavaria. Originally made for Ann of Bohemia, the first wife of Richard ii, the king who first wanted to be called 'Your Majesty'

There was this brilliant series years ago called 'Seven Ages of Britain' with David Dimbleby and it focused on Art history and I'll always remember him saying 'If this was the crown of the Queen, imagine what the Kings must have looked like'
How about everyone else, what's your favourite lost jewels?
