I always find it interesting how people expect inheritance practices to work. Some times the opposite happens. Sometimes testators endeavour to even out inheritances in financial terms even though one particular item may be ear marked for a principal heir by tradition or property having been entailed etc.
How I wish that royal wills weren't sealed following the death of Prince Francis of Teck! What they might tell us! Any number of mysteries might be solved.
