This of course lead me down a very long rabbit hole because I find the jewels of the British Monarchs before the Civil War fascinating.
Both Elizabeth I and James VI wore the jewel, either as a pendant or as a hat ornament.

I was wondering if anyone knew anymore about the jewel or any other famous pieces from before 1643. I've heard of the Mirror of Portugal and the Mirror of Naples but I would be fascinated to learn more.
