Thanks OmerH. So, it is highly likely that the necklace still exists. (I'd go as far as to say it is certain, but...) Since Queen Alexandra wore her amethysts so frequently (according to press reports) it is amazing that we do not have a photo of her wearing the jewels. Such a gap in our records of the Queen's jewels!
