According to numerous sources, after the death of Grand Duchess Vladimir, the tiara was purchased by Princess Anastasia of Greece, formerly Mrs Leeds, who purchased it for Princess Xenia who married William Leeds, Princess Anastasia's son.
For some details of the history and a splendid coloured version of an earlier black and white photo see the Instagram account, Russian Treasure, at https://www.instagram.com/p/BiSeVvJhko-/
I think that Princess Xenia was probably wearing the ruby tiara in the photo below taken at a ball in New York in 1927. The detail of the photo is not good, but I strongly suspect it is the Grand Duchess' ruby tiara, probably secured by the contemporary fashion for diamond encrusted bands over the head.

What do others think? Was Princess Xenia wearing the Vladimir ruby tiara?
I wonder where it is today?
