Thank you Janet. What a treat for us all over the festive season! Some of the images are superb. In his book on Van Cleef and Arpels, Vincent Meylan discusses how the firm made some of the modern items worn by the Empress and other members of the Imperial family. I recommend it to anyone who is trying to work out which pieces belong to the state and which were private jewels.
