I visited Tehran and the treasury 4 years ago.
I can tell you that no pictures make the jewels any justice, they should use better photographers.
One piece in particular is so stunning in real life and have not seen any pics that makes it come to life as in real.
The Darya-e Noor, the Sea of Light Diamond, it has a magic shine that reflects it's name..
Here is pictcture from a site i just found

The most magnificent, most beautiful, and precious jewel of the national jewelry treasury is The Sea of Light Diamond A stunning, ornate cut 182 carats diamond, considered the largest pink diamond with the rarest color in the world. The legendary Darya-e Noor diamond is there to overwhelm its visitors with its exceptional beauty. Previous Message
Thank you Janet. What a treat for us all over the festive season! Some of the images are superb.
In his book on Van Cleef and Arpels, Vincent Meylan discusses how the firm made some of the modern items worn by the Empress and other members of the Imperial family. I recommend it to anyone who is trying to work out which pieces belong to the state and which were private jewels.
