I see now that I was mistaken and that you had already posted the price of the aquamarine brooch which QEQM had purchased in 1947.


Christophe Vachaudez was, however, mistaken in saying that the brooch was given to Princess Margaret after the birth of the current Earl of Snowden, as there is photographic evidence of Princess Margaret wearing it years earlier.
