I'm am absolutely fascinated by the pre-wedding events of British Royals, because it appears that even though they didn't have white tie weddings after the First World War, almost every British royal from Princess Patricia of Connaught in 1919 to the Wedding of the Prince of Wales in 1981 had a white tie pre-wedding ball at either Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle, though there are very few pictures from any of them.

Regarding the wedding events of the Duke of Kent and Princess Marina, I recall Beth posting some images of newspaper reports from a Ball held at Buckingham Palace, which I remember listed the Duchess of York wearing her Turquoise Tiara. However, I cannot seem to be able to find that post, which was made around 3 to 4 years ago.
