Watching the auction online.
The auction is terribly exciting. The prizes are through the roof. The heirs to the estate must be celebrating tonight.
Sotheby's is auctioning the ‘Family Collection of the late Countess Mountbatten of Burma in London today, HERE, which includes around a hundred different jewels.
One of the highlights of the sale is this Diamond Necklace/Tiara from the 1880s , which was pictured on Lady Mountbatten and Lady Pamela in the 1950s.
Another highlight are the jewels from Doreen, Lady Brabourne, the mother-in-law of the Countess, with most of them coming from the collection of her mother, the Marchioness of Sligo.
