In May Christie's will be auctioning a tiara that I've been trying to trace for long. I couldnt believe when I saw it earlier today! It is a 9 part tiara of sapphires and diamonds, each part can be removed from the frame and worn as brooches. It was ordered by Queen Maria II of Portugal and was part of a demi-parure.
I've posted about the piece on my Instagram account (a bit off topic, but I think I have anexcuse ahahah), in case you want to read more about it: https://www.instagram.com/p/CNBIBYlnBAT/
Also, the Hohenzollerns will be selling more sapphire pieces, a complete parure with Beauharnais origins.
