There is another worn by Xenia's sister in law, Saskia.
Interesting and sad note. As a descendant of Queen Victoria, poor Xenia is a carrier of haemophelia which she passed to her son. The strain of that ruined her marriage. She is a very kind woman.
Today marks the 40th Anniversary of the Death of Princess Margarita of Greece and Hohenlohe-Langenburg, the eldest sister of the Duke of Edinburgh , and so to mark the anniversary today, I published some very interesting finds I've made about the Hohenlohe-Langenburg Tiaras !
One of the more interesting connections is about this Amethyst/Topaz and Diamond Floral Tiara which was worn by Princess Margarita at the Wedding Ball of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria and Countess Helen zu Toerring-Jettenbach in 1956 , and seems to be the same tiara worn more recently by her granddaughter, Princess Xenia of Hohenlohe-Langenburg at her Wedding in 2005.
While the 'Leaf Coronet' is interesting, I'm more intrigued by the the diamond necklace Princess Margarita wore at the Wedding Ball of Prince Juan Carlos of Spain and Princess Sophia of Greece in 1962 . You can see the imprint of the necklace in this jewel case that still belongs to the family, though both of them could be the jewels either lost during a fire at Schloss Langenburg in 1963, or sold soon after!
