And a very interesting article on the subject. I seem to recall that it was said in a documentary a long time ago (in the 1990s or early 2000s) sent on Norwegian television that Queen Anne Marie actually forgot to bring some of her jewels when they left Greece. Even though they were already packed. The queen stated this herself.

I think it had something to do with her being more occupied with bringing clothes for the children. Does anyone remember such an interview? It’s a long time ago, so I might remember it incorrectly.

Most likely it was smaller, more personal jewels though. Because she wore the rubies already at Benedicte’s wedding.

Does anyone else remember this documentary? It’s a long time ago, and the vhs I recorded it on is probably long gone.
