To mark the 110th Anniversary of the Birth of Princess Cecilie, Grand Duchess of Hesse today, I revealed some exclusive information about the spectacular Hesse Star Tiara, HERE ! Ursula has a couple of entries on the Tiara made by Koch in 1931, that tie the stars to Grand Duchess Eleonore of Hesse, but I have found images of the stars being worn by Princess Alice, Grand Duchess of Hesse as early as the 1860s. I also believe that the pearl and diamond element later used in place of the stars comes from Princess Alice as well.
