I agree Dave, I have always assumed the amethyst stones and heart brooch was reset to the pearl & amethyst wedding gift necklace Queen Alexandra gave to Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon in 1923.

Didn’t Alexandra give necklaces from her own collection as wedding gifts to all her granddaughters? Maybe she did the same to her grandson’s wife?
