Never realized Queen Elizabeth II's black and white pearl bracelet belonged first to Queen Mary (never seen this photo before).
On the 1898 photo of Queen Mary, she wore at her collar the diamond York brooch later given as a wedding gift to Elizabeth Bowes Lyon (future Duchess of York) in 1923.
I don't know who owns it today (The Queen ?, The Duchess of Cornwall ?).
It was not Princess Margaret's rose of York brooch sold at the 2006 auction.

Recently I posted photos on Instagram showing Queen Mary wearing her black and white pearl bracelet, now worn by QEII, and also a photo of Queen Mary wearing a black pearl necklace.

Necklace
We also know that Queen Mary had black pearl earrings.
Has anyone ever seen any other photos of Queen Mary with black pearls?
In many ways I am surprised that we haven't seen at least the necklace being worn by another royal lady.
