I saw the exhibition in February and while I was a bit disappointed that it was smaller than I hoped it would be (it was certainly smaller than the last V&A Fabergé in 92/93) I was not disappointed in the eggs. I think there were about 16 or so eggs on display and they were beautifully presented. I was especially surprised by the Mauve/Swan egg and how lovely the matt enamel was. One of the eggs on display was the Rothschild Egg, donated by Putin to the Kremlin. I wonder if it’s been taken off.

There were also a couple of items of jewellery. The most important items were three tiaras
Mecklenburg-Schwerin Aquamarine tiara
Westminster Myrtle Tiara
Westminster Cyclamen Tiara.

What I found most interesting about the jewellery was how big the Cyclamen Tiara was. I always assumed due to its delicacy that it was a small item but it was much larger than I thought. Also shown was the Imperial engagement Aquamarine Brooch, a swagged collet and lattice necklace a mosaic brooch and a pretty irregular snowflake pendant.
