Yesterday, the Beau Monde and I went to Sotheby’s to see
'Power & Image: Royal & Aristocratic Tiaras’, which I've written about, HERE, which offered some great surprises that were not even included in the online catalogue, namely the Westminster Bagration Tiara and the Buccleuch Diamond Belt, both of which we were sadly not allowed to photograph, but the Belt in my opinion was the most spectacular piece! What was most unique in the display was that the tiaras seemed to float in some of the cases, and upon really close inspection, they were held up by almost invisible wires.
We did speak to one of the people at Sotheby's about the mistakes in the online catalogue and they did say that they were glad to know, but I have no idea if they will be changed or not.
