Re: Queen Mary's 1937 garden party brooch
Many thanks Crowne. The brooch seen at 36:50 in your film is indeed very similar to Queen Mary’s. It also reminds me of the bottom section of the Kent amethyst necklace inherited from Q. Victoria’s mother, with pendant removed. However that demi-parure is an Heirloom of the Crown which should have been passed on to Queen consort Elizabeth (QEQM) by 1937 when Mary was a dowager queen.
