I guess its possible that queen consort Elizabeth elected to use only the official Kent amethyst brooch which she was photographed wearing during Geo VI’s reign, and Queen Mary retained the necklace (whose elements were detachable) and used the largest section as a brooch in the 1937 video. This brooch from the necklace may well have been used by QEII seen in the 1967 Royal Family film. If this is so, we can keep fingers crossed that one day we will see it worn by queen Camilla.
