I came across an article of the princely Italian Odescalchi family and was astounded about the magnificent especially emerald jewels this family had in their possession.

I saw a picture of Vittoria Odescalchi who married the then Prince Innocenzo and he reputedly gifted her these famous emeralds which he bought via an intermediary from an Indian Maharaj in Paris.

The size of the emeralds are humongous and reminded me of the jewels worn by the Romanov family of Russia. It is however sad that the family sold off some of their jewels at auction. Does anyone know of this family and if they still retain some of their jewels?
