The Odescalchi famed Jewel collection Posted by Dave on August 10, 2023, 12:50 pm I came across an article of the princely Italian Odescalchi family and was astounded about the magnificent especially emerald jewels this family had in their possession. I saw a picture of Vittoria Odescalchi who married the then Prince Innocenzo and he reputedly gifted her these famous emeralds which he bought via an intermediary from an Indian Maharaj in Paris. The size of the emeralds are humongous and reminded me of the jewels worn by the Romanov family of Russia. It is however sad that the family sold off some of their jewels at auction. Does anyone know of this family and if they still retain some of their jewels? Regards, Dave.

So sadly I do not know whether they still kept some of the emeralds. The Odescalchi Emeralds Posted by The Royal Watcher on August 12, 2023, 1:05 am, in reply to "The Odescalchi famed Jewel collection " Sotheby's says: "After the Princess passed away in 1965, her jewellery collection was divided, and the devant de corsage was separated into brooches, the tiara was remodelled, but the necklace, the pair of earrings and the bracelets remained intact." I believe this image shows Princess Maria Pace Odescalchi wearing the earrings and one of the brooches at the Palazzo Odescalchi. It is a still from a film called 'The Forbidden Fashion (2019)'
