Such an unusual piece.
How exciting that pieces that have been hidden away for decades are appearing again - it makes me dream away as to what piece I wish we could see next in a fantasy world. Antique jewellery is so valuable now whereas post war it was looked down and so pieces were often sold for a relative pittance or broken up.
I think for me it would be Empress Maria Louise's Topaz parure, what a marvel that would be if it suddenly appeared, I think it hasn't been photographed at least since the 60s.

As revealed by Vincent Meylan and Carol Woolton , the Anglesey Diamond Négligé is going on Auction at Sotheby’s in Geneva in November.
An heirloom of the Marquesses of Anglesey for over a century and a half, it is believed that the Négligé may be a part of the legendary Collier de La Reine at the heart of the ‘Affair of the Diamond Necklace’ and the subsequent French Revolution.
