When the Sussexs got engaged, I can recall the Duchess saying what a special day it was when they both went down to the palace to choose her wedding headgear. Some reports said they were 5/6 tiaras the Queen had picked out for her to choose from. My feeling is that they were more than likely not connected to any other female members.
The Duchess of Cambridge as she was previously never discussed the options laid out to her. My feeling is that these showings are made up of different tiaras so as to prevent a clash in wearers, Eugenie proved that.

Actually the other Lovers Knot tiaras were made earlier then the british one. The bavarian one and the original Cambridge Lovers Knot tiara date from the early 19th century. so it rather that the one now in the british RF is a Copy
Wowwwww, just fascinating' but we do know that replicas of certain tiaras has been made' the major one that was worn by the late Diana PoW and now dawned by her Daughter in law has about 5 other copies.
But if this is the same tiara worn by Princess Margaret' then it's possible she was gifted or inherited jewels from her grandmother Queen Mary outright. Maybe the late Queen refused to bail out her sister or her sister was too proud to ask for help.
But seeing this tiara, it is substantially grand and not just a bandeau, it's beautiful and not that small as would come over in the back and white picture, I'm surprised this was allowed to leave the main line of the RF.

Dave.
This week, I am in the Sultanate of Pahang to celebrate the Wedding of Prince Muhammad of Pahang, Tengku Arif Bendahara , the son of the Sultan of Pahang and Tengku Ampuan (Queen) Azizah , and have a very exciting discovery to share with you!
Queen Azizah of Pahang and I have come upon the conclusion that her Diamond Bandeau Tiara is Queen Mary's lost Diamond Lozenge Bandeau last worn by Princess Margaret. Her Majesty graciously invited me to the Palace to view the Tiara (and five others) and we both compared it and could find no differences.
Queen Azizah bought this Diamond Bandeau Tiara on the advice of Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand in New York. Like Queen Mary’s Amethyst Tiara , the Diamond Lozenge Bandeau must have been discreetly sold off by Princess Margaret by the 1980s. In our excitement, the Tiara did drop and get slightly damaged but will soon be repaired.
