There is a second reason why that lady cannot be 'Lady C'[aside from divorce].
As a mere second son of the 11th Duke of Argyll, Lord Colin is not a Peer of the Realm, and holds the title 'Lord' only 'by courtesy', a status that never entitled the holder to sit in 'the Upper house'.
So neither he, nor [ANY wife of his] could have been present that day.
