Great photos! Thank you J-F for sharing them with us. I suspect you are correct and that this jewel is a Bourbon Parma jewel, otherwise it seems odd that the Duchess was wearing it in 1919, although Empress Zita could have sold it. It will be interesting to see if it turns up in the forthcoming auction of Bourbon Parma jewels. I recollect reading some where that over 200 items will be auctioned. For half a moment I thought that the choker worn by Empress Zita was the same one worn by Archduchess Francesca, but a closer look showed it is a different jewel. Previous Message Hello, I think the choker is a Bourbon Parma heirloom (The Duchess of Parma is wearing it on that group photo): Two more detailed photos of the central diamond motif : I don't know what happened to the choker. J-F Previous Message Thanks for the great photos and identification J-F and The Royal Watcher I wonder what happened to Maria Josepha's choker? It looks as if it would have been an attractive jewel. One of the items from the wedding which has always caught my eye is the amazingly large pearl choker worn by Empress Zita. I wonder if it has survived?
